At CollectiveAccessBridge, we recognize that plans can alter, and we are committed to fair and clear refund practices. This document provides the guidelines under which refunds might be granted for our yacht charter services.
It is important to familiarize yourself with this policy before confirming a charter. By securing a charter with CollectiveAccessBridge, you are accepting and consenting to the terms of these refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Entire refund except for handling fees
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Processing Fee: €50 for credit card transactions
Conditions: Request must be made in written form through email or telephone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half of the full charter cost
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund
Conditions: A legitimate reason is necessary; admin costs will be deducted
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: No refund is accessible
Exception: In emergency cases, consideration may be given
Alternative: A charter credit could be offered at the company's discretion
Conditions: Proof required for emergency situations
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
The safety of our clients is our utmost concern. In the instance of weather deemed unsafe for charter by our certified captain, we provide several options:
- Full Refund: Should rescheduling prove to be impossible, a full refund will be issued
- Reschedule: We will move your charter to another available time slot without extra charges
- Charter Credit: A credit that is valid for one year from the original charter date will be granted
Weather Assessment Procedure
Our evaluation of weather includes:
- Analyzing wind force and compass direction
- Assessment of wave size and marine conditions
- Visibility and forecasted precipitation
- Notifications and cautions from the Coast Guard
- Safety appraisal from the professional captain
Decision Timeline: Decisions regarding cancellation due to weather are made no more than 4 hours before the departure time.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Exceptional Circumstances
We are aware that medical emergencies may arise unexpectedly. Special considerations might be given to the subsequent situations:
- Unforeseen illness or injury necessitating hospital care
- Loss of an immediate family member
- Military conscription or urgent recalls
- Summons for jury duty or court-related issues
- Extreme weather events that affect travel plans
Proof Required
To proceed with an emergency refund claim, please provide:
- Medical attestation or documentation from a hospital
- Certification of death (if relevant)
- Official military orders
- Court summons or notice of jury duty
- Travel warnings or proclamations of emergencies
Processing: Upon submission of the correct documentation, emergency refunds are administered within 3-5 business days.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Difficulties
If the yacht allocated to you encounters technical issues that cannot be swiftly resolved:
- Alternative Vessel: We will endeavor to provide a similar alternative
- Full Refund: Provided when no comparable alternative is available
- Partial Refund: Granted if the alternative vessel is differently priced
- Compensation: We may offer added recompense for any inconvenience
Unavailability of Crew
In the unlikely event that the certified crew is not available:
- When practicable, an alternative crew will be provided
- A complete refund will be issued if the charter cannot proceed
- Opportunity to reschedule without additional costs
Refund Processing
Method of Payment
The refund will be executed via the initial payment method:
- Credit Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: Processed within 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: Processed within 3-5 business days
Processing Charges
Credit Card Processing
€50 fee for cancellations more than 72 hours in advance
Bank Transfer Processing
€25 fee for all bank transfer refunds
International Processing
Additional charges might apply for international transactions
Charter Credits
Instances Credits May Be Issued
Charter credits could be an option to refunds in specific scenarios:
- For cancellations made less than 24 hours prior
- If cancellations are due to weather
- For voluntary rescheduling by the client
- In the instance of operational disruptions
Terms of Credits
- Validity: Valid for a year from the date of issuance
- Transferrable: Cannot be transferred to others
- Amount: Equal to the complete charter value (with no processing charge)
- Application: Redeemable for any available charter
- Expiry: Not extendable past the 12-month period
Partial Service Refunds
Interruptions in Service
If your charter experiences an interruption or is curtailed because of reasons we are responsible for:
- A refund proportional to the unutilized period
- Credit for a future charter of equal worth
- Complimentary services or enhancements
Disruptions Caused by Guests
If a charter is stopped ahead of schedule due to guest behavior or infringement of safety norms:
- No reimbursement for the remaining portion
- Full payment is still expected
- There may be additional fees
Dispute Settlement
If you take issue with a decision on refunds, you may:
- Ask for an appraisal by our supervision team
- Submit any additional proof or documents
- Look for a settlement via consumer protection authorities
- Pursue any legal course permitted by law

Step 2: Document Submission
Your refund appeal should include:
- Verification of your booking
- Details of the charter schedule
- Your reasons for cancelling
- Any corresponding paperwork (where necessary)
- Your chosen method of refund
Step 3: Consideration and Approval
We will acknowledge your application within a day, compare it to our policy, decide within two days, and process any endorsed refunds in accordance with the times provided.
Crucial Information
- All refund claims must be presented in written format
- Refunds will be released in € regardless of the initial payment currency
- We highly suggest obtaining travel insurance
- This policy may be amended, with a notification period of 30 days
- Refunds may be subject to taxes and regulations that apply
